Community Fundraising

Our Annual 4 Wheel Drive Trip is scheduled for 4th January 2025

Our Chip Wagon & BBQ trailer are always out and about at local events.

Wood sales are an annual Project that happens all year round

Wanaka Lions undertake a variety of fundraising projects throughout the year. 
Fellowship amongst our members is at the forefront of each of our projects.

 Since 2014 we have donated over $300,000 to our Wanaka and wider community.

Catering  
- Using our Mobile Catering Kitchen and Mobile BBQ  for annual events
- Catering provides 65% of our annual fundraising net income
- Wanaka A & P Show in March
- Wheels at Wanaka during Easter
- Otago Gold Walkers Cavalcade for 5 days in late Feb
- Catering for local organisation / community functions in Dec and January
- Glendhu Bay boat racing
- Glendhu Bay Masters Rowing
- Wanaka Jet Sprints - Parking & Gate

4 Wheel Drive Trip

Annual event on first Saturday of January. 
Sat January 4 2025,  is from Lowburn Station to Cardrona Village

- Beneficiary is Wanaka Search and Rescue
- Assistance from Shotover 4WD Club
- Attracts up to 100 vehicles in 2 convoys
- Registrations in early December

Firewood
-
Selling firewood is an annual project.
- Logs purchased or offered free to us
- Ringing and splitting working bees, during winter months
- Sales and deliveries early Autumn
- Our firewood project is great for club fellowship during the winter months

- Weekly Bully Bar meat pack raffles – Friday 5.30pm
